Grid & Infrastructure Map
Every battery storage unit from 1 MW in Germany, plus the high- and medium-voltage grid, 110 kV/MV substations, power plants and former power plant sites. Click a potential site — Site Intelligence shows the nearest connection points, storage competition, generation nearby, the responsible grid operator with its procedure and an indicative screening.
How to use the map
- 01
Search a place
Enter a municipality, district or address — or zoom into the map.
- 02
Click a site
Click an empty spot: substations, lines ≥ 110 kV within 5 km, storage within 10/25/50 km, grid operators.
- 03
Run the numbers
Enter power and capacity and check the economics in the ROI calculator with one click.
- 04
Save, compare, report
With a free account, save sites with their analysis, compare up to six side by side and create a site report as PDF.
What the map can do — and what not
The map does not replace a grid connection enquiry. Only the grid operator knows whether capacity is available at a substation. It shows where grid and competition are, so you enquire at the right sites first. Grid and power plant data comes from OpenStreetMap (community-mapped; largely complete from 110 kV, patchy in medium voltage); storage data from the Bundesnetzagentur market master data register.
